This calculator gives you an estimate on how many palms or protein, fists of veggies, thumbs of fats and cupped hands of carbs you can eat each day to achieve your goal
It’s important to remember that this isn’t the be all and end all.
You use these numbers as a starting point and adjust as you go.
We show you how to do that in the FREE Get Lean Template Course!
To get access, complete the quiz then click the “GET COURSE” button and you will get immediate access.
Non-exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT) is the energy expended for everything we do that is not sleeping, eating or sports-like exercise.
It ranges from the energy expended walking to work, typing, performing yard work, undertaking agricultural tasks and fidgeting.
Very Low – NEAT:
Occupation: Minimal movement, sitting down, desk work
Outside work: minimal physical activity, mostly sitting or laying around
Low – NEAT:
Occupation: Low movement, mostly sitting down, desk work. Physical activity is intermittent and not significant
Outside work: low physical activity, sitting or laying around with occasional bouts on your feet
Moderate – NEAT:
Occupation: Either your job or your home life (not both) involves a significant amount of physical activity or work on your feet
Or, both your job and your time away from work both involve moderate physical activity
High – NEAT:
Both your job and your time away from work involve a significant amount of physical activity. If your full-time job involves a steady stream of challenging physical labour, then you can consider yourself high-NEAT regardless of your time away from work.
